Description

We offer organic geranium essential oil for animals, which originates from the plant with the botanical name Geranium macrorrhizum. In international practice the oil is designated as Geranium organic essential oil for animals. Botanists assign the species to the family Geraniaceae, whose range extends from Central Europe to the western edges of Asia Minor and covers the entire Balkan Peninsula. In the southeastern part of the range lies Bulgaria, from where the plant raw material comes. The raw material grows in the high mountain regions of the country under organic cultivation. Organic cultivation brings one advantage, as it excludes synthetic detergents on the plantations and preserves the natural composition of the entire leaf mass during the growing season. Along with cultivation, the extraction method also gives an advantage, because steam distillation carries the volatile molecules unchanged and preserves the purity of the scent. The advantages are complemented by the preserved natural profile of the leaf fraction. The profile combines herbaceous and woody nuances with a sweet twist, while the strength of the smell remains fresh. The smell remains linked to the liquid consistency of the product. The liquid takes on a yellowish-green colour that comes from the leaf greenery of this perennial herbaceous crop. The leaves also provide the entire composition of the oil, which comprises exclusively organic plant substances. The composition remains free of preservatives and colourants. The volatile substances in geranium oil originate from the sticky aromatic surface of the leaves. Storage

Store organic geranium essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature from +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and the loss of beneficial properties. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging, and as the contents decrease, pour the remainder into a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for animal products, preferably of dark glass, which protect the essential oil for animals from light. Close tightly after each use so that air and moisture do not penetrate. Observing these conditions preserves the aroma and quality of the product for a longer period.
